ConnexUs

"In this together"
Developed by Search for Common Ground (Search), ConnexUs is a global network and coordination platform for peacebuilding, humanitarian, development, and public health actors working in conflict-affected settings. According to Search, the COVID-19 crisis demonstrated that even as we faced an interconnected problem, we had a disconnected response. The organisation designed the ConnexUs platform to address this connection challenge by providing a structure for organisations and practitioners to coordinate with each other at local, national, and international levels.
Through ConnexUs, practitioners, academics, and activists can find out who is working in their community and make real-time connections. Creating a free account enables participants to build personal profiles, engage in public discussion forums, and utilise private messaging features. The hope is that, by harnessing the power of working together online, organisations can fill in gaps and reduce overlap in their programmes and activities.
Beyond practitioners, ConnexUs is actively trying to influence combat disinformation and promote positive change through its Influencers for Change network. Around the world, Influencers in conflict-affected contexts are promoting public health awareness and coordinating positive responses to combat the pandemic. ConnexUs aims to amplify their work.
In addition, the website features: a curated resource library containing multi-sector resources and contributions from ConnexUs users; a crowdsourced non-governmental organisation (NGO) mapping tool to find out who is working on what in your community; active discussion forums; and user profiles.
ConnexUs is free to join and open to anyone who is working to make a difference in the world. ConnexUs is the sister platform of DME for Peace, a global learning platform showcasing best practices in the peacebuilding field.
