Designing and Conducting Health Systems Research Projects: Volume 1
SummaryText
This guidebook offers health systems research (HSR) training modules to provide health decision makers with data for informed decision making and solving
priority problems within a local context. It consists of 20 training modules which, step-by-step, support course participants in the development of a research proposal and provide useful guidelines for its implementation.
This volume represents a revision of Volume 2 of the Health Systems Training Series which the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and World Health Organization published in 1991. The modules have been revised to accommodate shortcomings and gaps detected since that time. This revision was initiated in a workshop held in November 1998 in Arusha by a group of interdisciplinary researchers and managers.
