The website is a virtual meeting place to share resources and experiences and to discuss and develop questions and ideas on CHW programmes and policy. The site is available to all, with participation available with registration for a free membership.
CHW Central's features include:
- Announcements - announcements about updated content on the CHW Central website and news.
- Meetings and Events - a current list of conferences and events that are of interest to the global and United States (US)-based CHW community.
- Featured Content/Archives - new research, best practices, global, and US policy discussions, tools, and success stories.
- Resources - the CHW Central resource database of case studies, journal articles, training materials, and more.
- Partners - listed partner organisations committed to strengthening CHW programmes.
- Links - a links page with connections to other organisations implementing and supporting CHW programmes, as well as other resource-sharing sites.
- CHW HUB - a product of the partnership between CHW Central and the Health Systems Global Thematic Working Group (TWG) on Supporting and Strengthening the Role of Community Health Workers in Health System Development.
