Avian Flu Risk and Prevention Booklet
SummaryText
Published by SIL International, this booklet tells the story entitled 'Terpen Village Avoids Avian Influenza' which describes one village's encounter with avian influenza (avian flu or bird flu). The story was designed to give information about bird flu in a way that could be easily understood by all who read it, starting with signs of bird flu in chickens and providing a strategy for preventing its spread. The booklet also provides information about how villages, families and individuals can protect themselves, including an information page at the back of the booklet with 10 steps that can be done to avoid avian influenza.
The booklet is available for download as a whole or in sections, with a number of different versions, including English and Indonesian languages with Asian or Papuan illustrations.
