Every Newborn Toolkit

This tool from the global initiative Every Newborn aims to support countries with a roadmap, "Every Newborn: an action plan to end preventable deaths", by improving quality care at the time of birth and support for small and sick babies through the scale up of high-impact, cost-effective interventions for newborns. "The process started with consultations in multiple high-burden countries to gain better understanding of context and specific bottlenecks for scale up. Every Newborn brings together this country learning with the latest global available knowledge on effective interventions and delivery approaches, enabling policymakers and program managers to take action to accelerate progress." In addition to the multi-stakeholder consultations and an online consultation, the plan takes into account "all inputs as well as findings from The Lancet Every Newborn Series published in May 2014."
